Personality: Kernel is a total nature lover. His bread and butter is his ability to fly through the crisp midday air, over his beloved sunflower garden and the glimmering ocean. He gets along well with other Runes, as well as other creatures, but finds that he is most able to enjoy himself when he is surrounded by nature. He's a very cheerful Rune, who frequently can be found humming or singing a catchy tune. He's devoted to his garden like his life depends on it, and reveres his sunflowers like an ultimate being. Their light and ability to grow in weather that wilts most other things makes him believe that they are persistent and powerful. He also likes to lick things. Anything. It could be a bug, a flower, a piece of paper, a companion, you name it! He likes to taste everything! And along with that, he loves jelly. All kinds, made from every kind of berry he can find!
Quirks: Kernel is very talented at flying and gardening. His love for his sunflowers has given him the practice and added love for tending to many delicate plants. His flying talents are well known among the young Rune, and he shows no fear while in flight.

Chiron the Male Kiamara
Chiron helped Kern reignite his love of life in a time of immense depression. Kern had broken his wing, and was stuck in his small home, slowly dying from the loneliness and general depression over being unable to fly. After some time spent alone in his home, Kern had a visitor who asked him for a favor. It was Chiron; he needed help gathering sunflower seeds. The two quickly become friends, though they speak little. Chiron is quiet and somewhat sullen, but Kernel has found that the two help keep each other sane, and Kernel greatly relies on the large Kiamara to help him fly.
